Piano Tuning
Tuning a piano basically means bringing a piano up(or sometimes down) to A-440. A-440 is considered to be standard concert pitch in most of the world today. Each of the 230+/- strings in your piano must be tuned in relation to A-440. If a piano is tuned regularly (every 6-12 months), this process is relatively straightforward. If a piano has not been tuned regularly, then the overall pitch of the piano has probably dropped, and sometimes it can drop significantly if the piano hasn’t been tuned in many years. In this case, a Pitch Adjustment may be necessary.
